During the conflict between feudal lords and peasants, Dabour finds himself entangled in a love affair with the daughter of a businessman. This puts Dabour's life in danger, as the girl's other lover threatens to kill him if his relationship with her continues. Dabour eventually becomes the leader of a peasant campaign to overthrow the feudal lords.
