When car dealer Joe Glauning disappears from a campsite in the border region between the Netherlands and Lower Saxony, he leaves behind not only his identification papers and personal belongings but also traces of blood. It is clearly a crime—and a case for Chief Inspector Thorsten Falke (Wotan Wilke Möhring), who will have to cross the border to solve it. He is assisted in his investigation by cybercrime specialist Mario Schmitt (Denis Moschitto) and Dutch Chief Inspector Lynn de Baer (Gaite Jansen).

Chief Inspector Falke of the German police and his IT specialist Schmitt are working closely with their Dutch colleague, Detective Lynn de Baer, on the investigation into the disappearance of a German tourist in the province of Groningen. The team combines their expertise in detective work and digital forensics to gather clues, question witnesses, and analyze digital traces. Their joint efforts are aimed at locating the whereabouts of the missing tourist and reconstructing the circumstances surrounding the disappearance. Cross-border cooperation is being utilized to follow potential leads in both Germany and the Netherlands and bring the investigation to a successful conclusion.

As undercover agent Carsten Kellmann remains missing for longer, the hope of his survival dwindles by the minute. Chief Inspector Thorsten Falke and his Dutch partner Lynn de Baer become entangled in a complex world of deception, fraud, and betrayal during their intensive investigation. Their inquiry uncovers a dangerous network where nothing is what it seems, and every discovery drags them deeper into a web of intrigue and hidden agendas.

Corsten Kellmann is suspected of the murder of Karel Dulfer and maintaining connections with the Mocro Mafia, but is struggling with amnesia. During a search of his apartment, the only clue found is a drawing resembling a radish. This intriguing detail prompts Lynn and Mario to visit Sami, hoping to gain more clarity on the case. The discovery raises questions about the meaning of the seemingly innocent object and its possible role within the investigation. As the mystery unfolds, the drawing forms an unexpected key to new insights.
Falke seeks to include Carsten Kellmann's family in the witness protection program, with the aim of persuading Kellmann to make statements. At the same time, Lynn de Baer receives confidential information regarding an upcoming drug shipment.
